Guðríður grew up in Egilsstaðir and has been knitting since she was in elementary school, where she first learned to knit her first socks. Her mother then taught her to knit sweaters. Guðríður is a Security Specialist and works independently today, has always had a great interest in all kinds of crafts, has always enjoyed knitting and always has to have something on her knitting needles if she sits down, for example in front of the TV, then knitting. She also sews bags from fur and leather and more. Guðríður is a social worker, participates in non-profit organizations and travels to live life, meet people and have fun and give back to the community.
