My name is Kolbrún and I was born and raised in Reykjavík but have lived in many places both in Iceland and abroad. My mother taught me to knit when I was 7 years old. I am left-handed but she taught me to knit right-handed. I love knitting because it gives me peace of mind, I am creating something and it gives me joy to give home-made knitting especially to little ones. The knitting needles follow me wherever I go, whether it is in the highlands or on a sunny beach. I say that knitting gives me peace of mind, but they also often keep me awake, when I need to finish one more round, or finish a pattern. Of course, it is also nice to show off a nice sweater that you have knitted.
