My name is Ranveig Kristín Baldursdóttir and I am 74years old. I am educated as Occupational Therapist and Personal Trainer. I have worked and lived both in Iceland and abroad. I was born in Reykjavík but now I live in Kópavogur. I started knitting when I was 10 years old and have never stopped since. I also learned drawing ,water colour painting and sewing. I have always been interested in all kinds of handcraft. Most of my family have got a sweater I have knitted for them. I did a lot of sewing in my earlier days but now it is mostly to repair clothes for family members. I think it is lovely to sit down with my knitting projects and listen to story or watch TV, or just knitting with friends. Now I am retired and have more time for knitting and it is so giving to be able knit the beautiful children sweaters for Emil and Lína.
