Steinþóra grew up in Hafnarfjörður, where she developed an interest in all kinds of handicrafts from an early age. Her grandmother taught her to knit when she was only 8 years old, and since then, knitting has become an indispensable part of her life. She has worked extensively with various crafts and has conducted knitting courses, which allowed her to share her expertise. She has also run an art gallery, sewn bags from leather and fabric, worked extensively with clay and glass, and held ceramics courses. Her children and grandchildren have greatly benefited from the things she knits for them. It brings Steinþóra immeasurable joy and happiness to share her art with others through her handicrafts.
