I was born and raised in Selfoss. My mother ran the hot dog stand in Selfoss, and I was her right-hand person most of the time, except when I needed to go out and explore the world a little. But I always came back. We ran the hot dog stand together for 40 years until we sold it in 2024.

I really started knitting about 18 years ago. I went to a summer house with a friend of mine and was determined to learn how to knit mittens. I knitted one mitten (not a pair) the whole weekend and was incredibly proud of myself. You could really say that I haven’t stopped since then.

I love sitting down and knitting beautiful garments, and I’ve made quite a few of them.
